Squibs

A 9/11 CT argument that effective and/or mistimed explosive charges can be seen detonating in the WTC buildings.

Squibs are actually intentionally weak charges set off to mimic actual explosions on film sets. They are often used to produce the effect of a bullet striking a body or the ground, for example. The term was also used by J.K. Rowling to describe people born in Wizarding families who do not possess any capability for magic. Hence, this term is an example of an unintentional misnomer used by the 9/11 Truth Movement.

A review of seismographs sensitive enough to have recorded any cutting charges placed in these buildings did not do so. The jetting effect of debris bursting through windows below the outward line of the approaching debris is deemed to be "squibs" by many CD theory advocates. A section of 7 World Trade's southern facade ripping loose from previous damage during its fall is also considered by some to be explosive charges going off.

Richard Gage has reluctantly left the "squib" argument behind for 7 World Trade, but continues to claim them in the collapse of the Towers.
